can I connect 2 bluetooth devises at the same time?

I bought 2 Bluetooth headsets for my kids to go on a plane ride.  I want to be able to connect them both to my Ellipsis 8 at the same time.

I can pair them, but only one at a time.  It kicks the other off when I try to pair the second.

Is there a way to do this?

I want them both to here the same tablet.

That's a great idea, but only one bluetooth headset can be connected at a time.
