$200 Trade in Phone with Bad ESN

I got taken on Ebay and have an Iphone 4 in perfect condition with a Bad ESN. Would this phone be eligible for a trade in?

To answer your question, No, you cannot trade it in for the $200.
From the site where you enter your phone information:
"Devices purchased with government funds or that have been reported as lost or stolen are not eligible. If submitted, such devices will not be returned and no Verizon Wireless gift card will be issued. See FAQ's for more information."
A bad ESN is considered lost or stolen in most cases and when you send the phone in Verizon will just keep it and no gift card. Since it is a likely stolen phone, you have no recourse on claiming you actually own it.

You can file a complaint on eBay and get your money back very easily. eBay will freeze the sellers PayPal account until you get your refund.
