4G LTE *still* so slow that it's unusable.

verizonisterrible6

Verizon claims to have 'resolved' this issue last month but I still haven't seen 4G download speeds above 2Mbps.

Today download = 0.53Mbps, upload = 0.03Mbps.

It took almost 10 minutes to sign into this page, just so I could post this. Unbelievable.

We certainly want to make every effort to improve your wireless service experience. I see that you posted a couple of days ago. Do you still need assistance with your data concerns?

VZW speed is still absolutely atrocious @ 88002, so yes, it would be fair to say that assistance is needed.

Thanks for the reply. I was able to check the zip code that you provided. I am not showing any outages or issues in the area. How far would you need to travel before you can pick up better service?

I have no idea how far I would need to travel to obtain a usable 4G signal... Probably outside 88002.

We are concerned to hear you are having issues with your service and are happy to help in any way possible. To clarify, are you having trouble with calls, texts and data? Did this just recently begin?

  • I have had the same issue for the past 5 months ..I was getting 80 sometimes even 100+ mbps but now I get 10 to 20 and I suspect it has somethkng to do with when they started to offer unlimited data with no cap on the best plan that's when it stated this ..also the band selection app no longer works because they had it blocked and that all happened around the same time ..go figure

I too need help with this issue as my service has been progressively getting worse, despite the 5g map showing that I should have 5g coverage in my area but it seems spotty, but I barely even get 4g and even when I do get 4g it is absolutely abysmal, I may just have to go to another provider at this point.

Sounds exactly like my current speed numbers on LTE.  I’m not even close to my 22GB due to WiFi use.

My shiny, almost-new, Samsung Galaxy S21 is all but completely unusable.

I think it's finally time to switch carriers.

verizonisterrible6 Thank you for reaching out here on this platform. I'm sorry to learn you are having issues with your S21. Please tell us what is not working (data/calls/text)? Does this happen in a specific location (indoors/outdoors)? -Dolores

Data primarily, but there dead spots indoors and outdoors where I cannot place/receive calls.

Data is nearly unusable indoors or outdoors, rarely above 2Mbps download and often well below 1Mbps.

Current speed 88002 outdoors:

0.78Mbps up

0.02Mbps down

Laughable.

I used to tell people, "I'm with Verizon because they have the best coverage."

Now I tell them, "I'm with Verizon and I can't load Google's homepage."

Yet another day of completely unusable "service" @ 88002

"the area you are located in is a place we cannot provide adequate service to."

So, after living in the same location (88011) for over 2 years, working in the same location (88002) for well over 10 years... and having never experienced issues like this until recently, this is Verizon's answer.

At least they're honest about it.

Time to switch to AT&T, it seems.
