Billed for Tablet I Was Told Was Free w/Purchase + My Signature is Copied Over from the Phone

Has anyone else had problems with Verizon saying I signed an agreement for a new item when they did not? I bought a Galaxy S1 Ultra in July last year. They offered me the newest Samsung tablet at the same time. I refused because it's tiny and I still use my old Samsung tablet every day. They said it was free with a current promotion. They also said that it would be good because I wouldn't have to buy the charger that didn't come with the new Galaxy phone (which my bill shows, I didn't buy). So, I figured -- and actually said to the great guy who was helping me, "oh, ok, I'll give it to someone." Well, I haven't, in fact I've never even charged it. It's only been out of the box once -- so I could get the charger out to use it for the phone. All of a sudden I realize I'm being charged every month. When I went to the documents for that date, it shows I "signed" for the purchase of the tablet, a document is separate from the document for the phone. The signatures on the TWO SEPARATE DOCUMENTS is IDENTICAL. Now, it was one of those e-signature pads where your signature never looks like yours and always looks like the person who signed it was drunk. WHAT IS THE LIKELIHOOD THAT TWO SIGNATURES ON THAT DEVICE ARE EXACTLY THE SAME -- DOWN TO A RANDOM DOT ON THE PAGE? Before I file a small claims suit, I want to see if mine is a random problem or others have experienced it.

The tablet was free to purchase in exchange for a 2 year service contract. Learn and understand the various promotions for different products. You purchased it.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I am having the same situation with a mobile hotspot.  I have talked to 6 different customer service people (store, Phone and chaat) ... and the service just gets worse with each connection to a service rep.  I was told the device would save me money and be charged only when used as a hot spot.  (My hotspot on my phone was costing me $10/mthly... the mobile hotspot that was supposed to save my money is costing me $18 -$22 mthly...and  I can't get anyone at verizon to care.  I talked to a rep three weeks ago who assured me the device and number would be removed from my account WITHOUT ANY CHARGE TO ME..and just got my April bill and was charged.   JUST GIVE UP ON VERIZON WIRELESS.  I had huge problem with Verizon Residential two years ago and when I talked with a supervisor about my frustration and thought I would be respected more with Comcast Infinity...he told me to move then... Which I did and I must admit, their customer service is so much better!  Looks as if I will see if the credit is on my next bill ..if not , my only recourse is to give my business to a company that appreciates my business

We are here to help with any concerns you have about the tablet promotion. Allow us to gather a few more details to be on the same page. What is the model of the tablet you got as part of the promotion? Also, are you getting billed for the tablet cost or are you receiving a monthly bill for the tablet's service charge?
