I have had Verizon for 10 years now in my small town. Over the past few years my cell service has become worse and worse. I have never had perfect service at my house, but it is nearly unusable now. I use to be able to step outside to make a call. Now I have to drive 5 miles down the road if I want to complete a call. I have tried and tried to get help from customer service. I’m only recommended to buy $300-$600 dollar cell boosters. Phone calls drop all over town in areas that use to have service. I’m posting here as a last resort before I’m basically forced to switch to another provider.

I have had this same problem. The cell coverage in my neighborhood and community has gotten really bad. I've called Verizon several times and they tell me it has something to do with the refresh rate with the local cell towers.
I depend upon my cell phone for work. I'd switch to AT&T tomorrow if I could. Alas, I have to pay off my phone first.
Honestly, I don't think the customer support people understand how bad Verizon service has become on the east side of Atlanta where I live. If you go to the majority white areas north of the city, the service is wonderful.
