I have an ongoing battle with Verizon wireless. I entered a 2 year contract with Verizon wireless in 2018 for an IPad. Per the contract the device was to be billed monthly for 24 months along with the line access fee. The monthly access fee for service was cancelled in 2020 after the agreement was completed as it was now only used with Wi-Fi. I had no issues when I contacted Verizon customer service to cancel the access and at that time did not have an outstanding balance. I have been a customer since 2012 and currently have 3 lines. I recently received a notification from credit karma and have a new delinquency for $1077.16. I contacted Verizon and was told “yes unfortunately we failed to bill you monthly for the device payment and you now have an outstanding balance” They offered to settle for half the amount and put in a deletion request for my credit report, however I did not accept. I asked the manager Patrick “a woman” to speak with her boss only to be told she’s the only one I can talk to. I asked to speak to someone in the legal department and was told they didn’t have that information. I asked for all the supporting documents to be sent over by mail and email and was told to have my lawyer get a subpoena. The line was recorded and clearly has her admitting fault.
