Hi, I would like to find out how to COMPLETELY disable visual voicemail on my specific line, or overall if need be. I DO NOT want visual voicemail all I want is the Regular Basic Voicemail....
I was able to do it a while ago on the website but now I can not find the option for the life of me.

Sign into your MyVerizon account online from a computer. Go to the My Plans & Services area and select Block Services. Under the Purchases section add the Block Visual Voicemail feature.

Do these steps work for you?
To cancel Visual Voice Mail service (non-iphones)
Go to the Products & Apps page in My Verizon.
Click the Manage Your Products tab.
In the Visual Voice Mail section, click Remove from Account in the top-right corner.
Follow the onscreen prompts to remove the feature from your account.

on that said page there is no option to remove visual voicemail from my device, The only "tile" for Visual Voicemail is the one to get the premium version (which there's no "remove this feature" link on it). Under my device all I have is the tiles for Roadside, Device protection, HD Voice, and Share ID Name; along with a "VZ Navigator suggestion which I'm ignoring.....

Gotcha, alternatibely on the website's 'block services' section it should allow you to add a visual voicemail block instead. If not, what type of phone/plan so you have and are you logged in as an account owner or manager?

I'll have to keep this in mind and try it if one of the other lines on the plan doesn't want the visual voicemail. I'd done an online chat with one of the reps and he said he disabled it, now just to give it time and see if it worked.

If you want BASIC visual voicemail removed, you can call and ask it to be disabled. It’s a free service, and you aren’t required to use it.
Enabled or not, you can always call in the old fashioned way and hear your messages. press and hold on the 1 on the dial pad, enter your passcode.

Oh, no. Horhillhild, I am sad to hear you are still experiencing issues removing the feature. This seems really odd that you were not able to do it via My Verizon. What happened when you performed those steps provided?

I have been having a problem with visual voicemail since Feb. 2020, when it appeared without my wanting it to, and has been a real nuisance. I have spent over an hour with tech coach on different occasions, to try to get this thing off my phone and restore my basic voicemail, which I liked, because it simply notified me when I got a message. This visual thing does not notify me, and I have missed several important messages on my phone. I don't know I have had a message unless I phone in, several times daily, to check! The tech advice was useless and so is all the other advice I have discovered online. I was going to go to the Verizon store before this COVID thing started, but now am stuck with an inefficient and annoying system which I did not ask for, and that has had a bad effect on my business. Why is it so hard to get rid of this thing that I did not subscribe to ? I want to return to basic voicemail, which I have on my personal cell phone. Please help!
thank you,

I know it is critical to have voicemail working as it should be. Let's make sure yours is working for you. We will need to access your account, so I sent you a Private Message.

Hi Message-Plus-User, having your voicemail preferences set up correctly is essential. We want to make sure we're aligned on getting your concern corrected. To clarify, are you using Google as a third-party voicemail option or are you referring to the Android default voicemail? Please be as specific as possible.

They've redesigned the website again, and NONE of these options exist any longer.
I want this ^&%$#@* thing removed from my phone, forthwith.

Gee, it's so much more convenient than calling in, which you can STILL DO. It's a pain to remove yourself. You have to login, select manage devices. Then select add ons. Then change your enrolled voicemail choice to basic voicemail.
