How do I disconnect a device?

Why is it that I cannot disconnect a device online? Why is it that I HAVE to talk to one of your poorly trained employees? I spent 2 1/2 hours on chat with a rep and all they wanted to do was sell me a new tablet. Or a new phone. [removed] For 2 1/2 hours of me saying, " please disconnect my tablet from the account, I do not need it." IS that so [removed] hard??? I would call but I really don't have that kind of time to spare. It's usually an hour on hold just to get the wrong person, so they have to transfer you to someone else, and the game begins again. You're not working very hard to keep the customers you have. And you want to buy Yahoo??? You can't run the business you have, and you want more??? Your board of directors is unabashed in their greed.

For reals tho...If Verizon didn't try to sell you something (well SAVE you as a customer) then they wouldn't be doing their job and wouldn't be here as a service provider. Just like every company if Verizon just disconnected every device/line that was requested, they wouldn't still be around. They have a protocol they have to follow, its their job. So instead of complaining about how its so hard and such a pain, why don't you step back and consider that its their job to save you.

You want to disconnect? Call Customer Service and request to disconnect. If they try to save you, POLITELY say "No thank you". Kicking and screaming is only going to get you transferred and trust me if I took your call was yelled at I would do the same thing. Just be nice. If they continue to give you a hard time, allow them to put you on hold (ive worked in a call center before) because they're probably talking to a supervisor for advice. If after that they still wont, politely ask for a supervisor. Just don't throw a 2yr old fit and it will go smoothly.

No I will not be nice. I've been nice it doesn't work. I have been abused by Verizon.(You really have no idea)

What you don't seem to understand is...

I PAY THEM. THEY WORK FOR ME!!! If you want to be a lackey for them that's fine. I will not however.

"Just like every company if Verizon just disconnected every device/line that was requested, they wouldn't still be around." It's not a divorce, it's a service. If I want to stop something I am paying for I will. And it should be done. That's exactly what they are supposed to do(ask the FCC). Hours of my life taken trying to deal with Verizon. How would you feel if someone took hours of your life away.

Then cancel by one of the methods mentioned and be done with it. Call or visit a store. Complaining without doing anything is gonna continue to keep your service open. You could also port your numbers to another carrier which suspends the lines until the end of your billing period which you are billed for accor to your cust agreement.
