I am posting on here as a last resort before I switch carriers, out of the blue one day in January my network data slowed to 0.6 MB/s. Let it slide for a few days. Called tech support.then got transferred to Tier 2.. I got a new SIM card. They said well it must be your phone . I go down to store trade in my iPhone 11 to a 14 pro. Fire it up and same exact issues. 0.6 MB/s. The people in the store can’t give me an answer. I call back to tech support they take me up to tier 3 they open up a ticket and find nothing wrong. I am under network management 24/7 no matter my time or location. I travel 200 miles a day and no matter where I am it will not work. I live in a rural area they check the towers and say there is no network congestion yet I’m still being de prioritized at home and where ever I travel. They say the only option is to upgrade my plan but the 5G start has worked for me over a year with no issues. I’m not sure what has changed but upgrading my plan is not an option for me.

I have the same problem. Not one tech can answer why this appeared and no one can provide any written policy or written explanation on why these networks suddenly appeared. Even if I change settings and switch off auto connect I still go off cellular data and switch to an unknown WiFi network. My service becomes almost non existent and I cannot get services. These “managed networks” 1 labeled private WiFi and 2 Verizon can only be seen or accessed by the edit link found under WiFi settings. Other posts on this forum are asking the same thing and the response by Verizon reps to these individual posts are they will be messaged privately.

Hello tjlsangls. We're sorry for any issues you are encountering. Are the Wi-Fi connections you're trying to connect to located in your home? Have you been able to connect to them in the past?

Hello Yvonne, I never said I was attempting to connect to any WiFi networks. I have 3 managed networks that I noticed when I started having problems with my cellular service that are on my IPhone 14 Plus on a plan I got from a Verizon store. For the last 8 weeks my service has gone from VERY GOOD no issues to VERY BAD at times non existent. The managed networks that I discovered are in settings>wifi>this is where known networks are located. To see the managed networks I need to hit the edit link. I then see 3 managed networks which is the pic I attached to my previous post. These networks seem to be connecting to a WiFi network not of my choice and my cellular service becomes unusable. I have not been able to use cellular service or hotspot at all when this happens. Could you please provide information regarding these locked managed networks? I have tried to resolve this problem with Verizon technical support at least 10 times over the last two months. I have used the support via this app. I have tried Apple and Xfinity and both are saying that it appears to be Verizon. Especially since 2 of the managed networks say Verizon in their name. I did not put these on my phone and I do not have other Verizon products or services. I do not have a Verizon business account. My account is individual/personal. I have one device on the account . I finally did get some type of help when one of your associates in tech support processed a claim for a replacement device. The device is in transit but I still would like to know what has caused me to have no service for the previous 2 months consistently. I thank you in advance.

Hello and thank you for your reply. Yes, I have done a network reset and settings reset numerous times. Tech support has synced me to the cell towers a number of times. I have screen shared and tech support has looked and done a number of resets available to them. I have talked to others with Verizon accounts who are also personal accounts and no one has these managed networks. The only other person who said they had these networks is the girl who works at the store I got the phone from. She advised me that all the other employees do as well.
Could you please clarify these networks are added at the account level? I now have more questions than answers. Thank you.

To clarify, when you experience Network Congestion, your data is depriortized. This may also be attributed to the plan that you have as some of our plans offer Premium data in order to avoid deprioritzation. Here is a link that also explains this practice as well as what other factors that can impact your Verizon signal.

Thank you for those additional details, Tjlsangls. What options do you get when you select the blue circle next to the network. As this is not impacting your data experience lets dive deeper into that as well. Do you have data issues all the time? Does this happen indoors and outside?

Hello Melissa,
You’re welcome for the additional information.
please clarify what adding managed networks at the account level means. I am going on over 2 months with these locked managed networks, service that is well below average while paying over $200. On the 6th I FINALLY got some type of assistance as I was told a new device would be here on the 8th. That got changed to the 11th. I just looked now it says 12th.

Hey there, tjlsangls, thanks for those additional details. Has your replacement device arrived? If so, how are things working for you after activating the replacement?

Lauren, thank you so much for responding and sorry for delay. I did finally get the replacement device and will be shipping back the device tomorrow. I will no longer be using the forum as a means to resolve this issue. I do appreciate the effort and time that has been used to help me resolve this Issue.

@tjlsangls wrote: I have tried Apple and Xfinity [snipped]
You have Xfinity as your ISP and an iPhone? This may sound strange, but I just dug around in the Apple forum here to find the thread I was thinking of. It was a little more than a month ago that another iPhone user discovered their Xfinity equipment was somehow interfering with their Verizon cellular service to where the phone wouldn't work and when they got a new router, etc. from Xfinity then it fixed their cell phone problem. You can see if this is what it is if you shut off your Xfinity modem/router completely and see if your Verizon service improves. I think the other person had an iPhone 12, but maybe iPhones don't like Xfinity for some reason.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

Thanks. If the replacement phone ever gets here I will try that. If that doesn’t work I will just go back to stone and tablet like I used to have when I was younger. It’s much faster and more reliable. If I said I would have tablet etched and carried over next day, it meant within 24 hours, not 96 or more.

Exact same issue!!! I had no idea about any of this and had to google what it was and found this thread. I have iPhone 12 and it has been like somebody else has been in my phone. I don’t receive texts or phone calls voicemails randomly It’s like they’re going somewhere else and my phone gets so hot scorching ,things have been deleted an changed around that I didn’t do in my phone and I was tripping ,was thinking my phone was hacked or cloned ,virus. I found those three-private manage network that I never put in it, but I can’t delete either. They are hidden and I accidentally stumbled on them when I hit edit just like the person wrote before me. We also do not have a business account. We have two lines. Very concerning this is especially when other Verizon customers have been told they would be private messages about this same issue???

This looked like I wrote it. Exact same repeated experience. Except I'm now on my 3rd phone and previously went through two Sims and every tech I talked to wanted to troubleshoot my phone. I spent days and hours a day dealing with this and they had my plan so messed up then too that then I had to call about that being an unauthorized change. And I finally got a tech who read all my notes and at the end told me ma'am I might get fired over telling you this but I'm sorry you have had to go through this before anyone would tell you but it isnt nor ever been your phone or Sim. It's that Verizon the year before 5g came out spent 3 million dollars to buy the most tower time. Which is good right. But these towers have tiers and Verizon didn't purchase the highest tier so their reception would have also been the best. T mobile is actually the best over anybody. So I am upset because I was told lastly it was google being an open source is the problem so I switched to Apple for the security etc but had to keep this samsung active because of the promotion tied to it. But so I am forced to pay for a 5g phone and a 5g plan but cant get 4g service in my home but my boyfriend sitting next to me has cricket and 5g service always. I'm so mad. I am now paying for all of this but have to drive 2 miles out of town to submit an Amazon order. Hey tho they were gonna give me a 150 dollars but that wouldn't cover my bill for one month.. I have 1 tower around this within and a guy or and no options to without an idea as to when they will.
and they don't know when they will but it is a mess now because I am not paying for 5g anything if j can't get 5g service. Well actually I guess I am...
