I am interested in this, yet cannot find an answer. Suppose in the future I wanted a new line/number + new phone, but later on want to attach that 24-month contract to an old number (the owner account).
Or am I misunderstanding how contracts work when you do either 24 months or 36 months. Is the contract attached to the -device- or to the -new number-.

You can't move the device payment agreements around to different lines on the same account.

The Transfer of Service only works if they are moving the line to another account. It doesn't work if they are staying within the same account.
