It's concerning to hear that you are experiencing these issues. What model of device do you have?

Hello I have a SAMSUNG GALAXY S6 Edge + , also my device ia not the only one I've done several speed tests on several devices like another S6 Edge + and a Motorola Droid Turbo 2 and Ellipsis 10 tablet they all show the same speed. Also the upload speed also went down considerably now averages at about 2mbps. Thank you.

Tony88136,
Having reliable service is a must! How long have you been having slower data speeds? Is this occurring in a specific spot or all over? Inside &/or outside? How are calls/texts?

It hasn't been that much I would say about 2-3 weeks. There are several spots where data speeds are slow especially in areas were there is no band 4 LTE coverage in those areas is about 2 mbps down on average, where I live there is band 4 coverage that's probably the reason I get on average 5 mbps down slightly higher than just band 13 but still slow than what I used to get 2-3 weeks prior. I seem to be getting the same speed inside or outside. Call and texts are perfectly fine no problems with them only the data speed has become slower. Thank you

why do you ask about phone model and text/call issues, when the concern is about LTE working slow? also questions about when it happens or inside outside lead me to the conclusion that you dont know the matter you answer or you purposly try to blurr the problem. and the problem is: verizon LTE in El Paso is SLOW every time, in any device and in any condition. can you just answer WHY the fck????

We want to see you use your devices to their full potential. Let's check the settings on your device:
Is Wi-Fi enabled on when you have issues with slow data? Have you powered your device off/on since this issue started?
Is Cellular enabled on in Settings>Cellular>Cellular Data Options>Tap Voice and Data ON?
Is Roaming enabled on in Settings>Cellular>Cellular Data Options>Tap Roaming ON?

Same here, but my speeds reduction is not that much. According to what Verizon CSR told me, LTE Adv. is for major cities which experience congestion. I mentioned about the reduction in speeds and they told me I am still in the LTE range.

That's strange considering that they have El Paso in the list of having LTE Advanced available on Verizon's website does that mean that only certain towers or areas in El Paso have been updated to have LTE Advanced.

Same here though. The towers I run off of are located in either 2 cities. But, although they are on the map I do not have LTE Adv. either. I did a tower search to figure it out. Verizon didn't know or wouldn't tell me what tower(s) I run off of.

Thank you for clarifying how long this has been going on. Can you provide the ZIP Code for the areas where you experience a decrease in data services?

In 79936 thats were I live, in 79928 thats were it's the slowest most likely because there is no band 4 LTE (aka: XLTE) coverage, and in 79938 I get full bars of signal connected to band 4 LTE but speeds are pretty low more likely congestion.

Thank you for this information. These areas do appear to be properly covered. Have you performed any troubleshooting in an attempt to resolve this issue? I want to make sure that we avoid performing any steps that you have performed.

They are covered well just pretty slow internet. I don't really see a way to troubleshoot the problem since the problem is more likely caused by a congested cell tower. The only things I did is do several speed tests everywhere I can and check the LTE Discovery app to see what band of LTE I'm connected to. Thank you

You’ve supplied some great information Tony 88136. Thank you for the awesome information. I would have to agree with you as tower traffic congestion can affect your signal in your device at times. Is your software up to date in all the devices you tested? Any new construction projects in your area? As sometimes it can result in the towers in your nearby area.

Tony88136, we appreciate all the information you've provided us thus far. I would like to acquire a few more details. Do you currently have the Advanced/HD calling enabled on in your phone? Also, since your speeds will be determined greatly by signal strength, can you please provide the signal as it shows in your phone under Settings>About Phone>Status>Signal Strength?

Hello, Yes I currently do have Advanced/HD calling enabled, my signal strength is currently at -103 dBm which is slightly lower than the -95 dBm that I used to get in the same place in my house and when my speeds were pretty good. Thank you

Tony88136, we are definitely still here with you! We would never just leave you. I have read through your messages and see that your main concern is that your data have slowed down in speed recently. Are you getting any error messages or webpages that won't load?
