No, seriously: Report Poor Coverage

There are thousands of posts on this Verizon Community site wanting to report poor mobile network coverage (phone, data, LTE, 5G, etc.) There are places near our house where I know the network simply doesn't work: the bars are reduced, text messages don't send, calls don't go thru, no cellular data.
Where are poor coverage areas best reported? Does Verizon have a process by which customers can tell them where the network is failing and they can respond, test, fix, improve? If not, why not?

Verizon needs to provide tools other than calling 611 to report poor coverage. AT&T has an app called “Mark the Spot” that makes this easy. It will collect data and your GPS location and submit it with a single tap of a button. I’m surprised Vz doesn’t already have something similar.

It is critical that we get to the root cause of your issue, Muppethead. We appreciate you mentioning that it seems not to be the phones, so we would like to look deeper into this. Can you provide more details about what your service is like in terms of calls, texts, and data? The more we know about your experience, the better we can help with a resolution.

Very poor service in a highly populated area. Verizon won't load. No 5 G.

Basy, we certainly want you to get great service with us. We are here to help. What model phone do you have? What specifically are you having trouble with: no signal at all, calls, text or data service?

Hi!
can someone take a look at 32801 in FL. After 5G UW has been getting deployed.m, signal has been worst inside our building. State agencies here use Verizon. I have both work and personal with Verizon. Inside the building, reception is not great. Data, text and calls stop in the middle of the building. AT&T has reception everywhere up and down this building.

MChaar, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and our goal is to ensure you have great service everywhere. I want to help set the expectations that we are unable to guarantee coverage while indoors due to many factors even in cases where you may have had service in the past such as cell-site changes, foliage, construction, population changes, and interference. Can you tell me how long the issue has been going on for as well as if your service improves outside of your home?

Have you done anything to the signal strength in 98284? I specifically chose Verizon years ago because they were the only one with a reliable signal here. All of a sudden about 2/3 weeks ago, my signal died completely at my house. I can't have 'No Service' at home be a long term situation. Maybe T-Mobile has developed service in this area if this will not change. Has anything been altered, signal strength reduced or antenna angles moved?

This wireless relationship is important to us. Our goal is to continue as your provider for many more years. Are you having issues with calls, text messages, or accessing data on your phone? Which make and model phone do you have? Do you have access to Wi-Fi inside of your home?

I have been experiencing this issue of DROPPED CALLS, LOW SIGNAL, CALLS NOT CONNECTING since 2016/2017. Is that when you started selling off your towers? It is most definitely not the phone because EVERYONE I know with Verizon service has the exact same issue. It is so predictable that I will literally tell the person on the other end of the call, "I may lose you, I'm coming up on a dead zone". For what I pay for service, this is unacceptable. Also, I just compared the Verizon coverage map with T-Mobile, guess who has better coverage?

We still have the most coverage area, and highest rated service, as rated by third party reviewers. This is a point of emphasis to us as we always want to be at the forefront of cellular communication technology. With that in mind, we are more than happy to troubleshoot with you to get to the bottom of this. Are you currently in the area impacted at this time? *Robert

I have this issue also. I know where one tower is, and that the issue is that I am on the backside of the hill and 20,000+ volt power lines are between me and it (power lines are west of me). I don't know where the tower on my side of the hill is, but there isn't any real obstruction east of the power lines., but I have had c*appy cell coverage here for years with Verizon on the west side of Redmond Washington. It though got a lot worse in the last couple months, were I have to go out on my deck to make a call now. If I try to make a call, half the time it doesn't go through, and asks if I want to setup Wifi calling. This is with a Samsung Note 8, a Samsung A71, and a Surface Duo 2 phone.
If you could, don't give me a canned response of I need to contact support to report an outage, since obviously if I can make a call on the deck there isn't an outage, unless a tower I was using died a while back.

I use this website to find which towers are located near a location.

I am truly sorry to hear that you have service issues as you have reported and the concerns about having coverage problems, Edevor. I realize staying in contact is important and let us look into these issues to get more details. Can you confirm your city, state and zip code? Are you getting any error messages when you try to make a call or access data?

I have poor coverage near my home with my iPhone 12 Pro Max phone. The calls drop and the web is poor too. This happens indoors and outdoors.

Hi, trialcritic. We definitely want to provide service that you can count on. We're here to help. When did this begin? Does your service improve in other areas? If so, how far do you have to travel to notice an improvement?

The cell coverage at my house deteriorated so much that I see 3G sign often. When I call my husband’s cell phone from the landline, I could hardly understand the words. My texts some times go through, some times not. I have to rely on my WiFi, if I don’t turn it on, I wouldn’t be able to watch a short video or download a video.
