Phone reported lost/stolen

I was in family plan with someone. and I did not want to continue. So they removed me. but then my phone get reported stolen from Verizon. I bought my phone unlocked and paid full at Apple store. And the account owner of the plan said that they just removed my number from the line, did not report my device at all.  As they don't see my device in their account anymore. What should or can I do now?

Plus, I did come to Verizon stores, all of them said that only the account owner can remove my device from Lost/Stolen list. But the account owner stated that I'm no longer in their account.
