Poor Coverage in Braselton, GA. Area

My wife and I moved to Braselton, GA back in March and the community is beginning to boom with development in the area. Since we moved in there has been upwards of 1000 single family homes that has gone up in numerous new subdivisions within a 3 mile radius. Our cellphone service as drastically taken a hit because of the development. It shows LTE and usually 2 bars for coverage in the Braselton, GA area, but we struggle to get any data and place calls without them dropping. Just for giggles I made a Facebook poll on our subdivision with numerous homeowners unhappy and no homeowners happy with Verizon service in our area. We spend at least 60% of our lives in or around our home yet we are paying full price for service that is beginning to not hold up to the Verizon standards. We both have Iphone's that are up to date and obviously not the issue in our area.

Is there anyway Verizon Wireless can do a market analysis in our area to improve the coverage for the rapidly booming community?

Same here. We're in Mulberry Park and usually have zero coverage in our house. Rediculous to pay Verizon this much money for a phone that we can't even use at our own home. What are you going to do Verizon? I keep getting the same old run around every time I call and complain about the [removed] coverage. We live in a vastly growing area right near I-85 and can't use a cell phone.

"Can you hear me now?"

"No. I have zero coverage with my Verizon the nation's largest coverage provider"

Getting service is a must. We are here to help. Do you have this issue outside of your home or only inside? Can you provide the exact zip code for Mulberry Park?

Sure. Zip code is 3017. The issues occur in the house, outide the house. It's really spotty in the neighborhood as well.

Anrn7277 Thank you for being a loyal customer and giving us the opportunity to help. Many factors outside of Verizon's control can contribute to indoor performance even in cases where you may have had service in the past. To assist you with having a more consistent indoor experience we have a number of technology solutions available to you. Have you tried WiFi calling or a Network Extender?

As for the outdoor coverage, we can certainly complete some troubleshooting. What make/model phone do you have? Have you completed any troubleshooting with us? If so, what steps have you taken so we don't duplicate them?

Why would I buy more equipment to get coverage your network raves about? Plain and simple your company needs to upgrade the towers in this area. No factory resets, roaming updates, wifi calling is going to fix the known issues in our area. I've talked to Verizon CS till I'm blue in the face and nothing ever gets done to fix coverage in our area.

For your info I have a Galaxy S5 with all the latest software updates. Roaming service was just updated and no change. No coverage issues still exist. Open up a ticket and send one of the network gurus out to this area and they will see the same things we are experiencing here in our neighborhood, NO COVERAGE.....

Also my wife and daughter both have Iphone and it's the same on their devices, so it's nothing to do with the phones. Indoor cell reception is almost no existent and maybe that's not your problem, but when I go outside the phone is basically a brick and vlwe can hardly make a call due to lack of signal.

Inside, outside, and pretty much anywhere in our area.

Did a speed test standing outside my house on Speedtest.net and my IPhone 7Plus had LTE and 2 dots at the top of the phone.

Results:

Ping: 127 ms

Download: 1.15mbps

Upload: 0.02mbps

This is an overcrowding on the local tower/network Issue as many other people in our area have expressed their same issue on Facebook and Nextdoor websites when I inquired about the issue.

MadCustomer3044 We want to make sure you have the data speeds you expect. It is possible that developments can cause signal issue. After we complete troubleshooting on your device we can look into a resolution ticket with our Network team. Let's start with a reset. Please go to settings > general > reset > tap reset network settings > enter passcode if requested > tap reset network settings.

I have to agree with ANRN7277-

Verizon is not listening to it's customers. Verizon Wireless Customer Support keeps reading scripted messages about resetting the cellular device but it is NOT a device problem. The network in the area sucks from overcrowding! It is not just my phone! It's every device on the Verizon wireless network.

It's just shocking that with a 3,500 acre multi million dollar Chateau Elan resort that hosts events from championship golf, to the Road Atlanta raceway that is rated as one of the world's best road courses that hosts the Petit Le Mans, Verizon Wireless would recognize their service needs improvement in the area.

Not only is the area booming with growth, it is a HIGHLY visited area and Verizon wireless is not delivering on their networks claims!

How about this Verizon Wireless Customer Support-

1. While I reset my network on my phone- You call the local authorized Verizon wireless retailer and ask about the local network : Verizon Authorized Retailer- Go Wireless (404-561-9754). Bet they would be able to tell you how hard it is for them to sell service in an area where it doesn't work.

2. Stop reading the script and start looking into expanding the local coverage in our area. A new tower in the area would resolve the issues

3. Discount the customers that are paying full price for service that is not living up to it's promise. Knowing we live and are in our small towns limits about 65% of our lives, we should get a 65% discount since it service is not working those times.

I totally agree with you as well MadCustomer! Verizon tells me the same thing over and over when I call to address the lack of coverage in the area. As I type this reply I am in the Kroger parking lot on Spout Springs Road and have 1 bar! Rediculous service, but they don't seem to care however they have no problems charging full price for their "best network" claims. When my contracts up I'm not going to renew my service. Sadly we've been with Verizon for many years and it's been the same [removed].  Why should we continue to pay high cell bills and not get the coverage that Verizon raves about? What a joke!

We moved to Liberty Estates in August. we get very poor service on both of our phones. To say we need to buy additional equipment to help Verizon provide their service in an area where poor coverage is wide-spread, that’s unacceptable. Verizon needs to survey the area and see what needs to be done to correct the issue. What happened to “Can you here me now”?
