Retrieving Ringtone from Text

I purchased a ringtone online and it sent the text to my phone.  It told me to open the text, click "options", and save as Ringtone.  I recieved the text but when I clicked options there was no option for saving as a ringtone, the only options I have are "Forward" "Lock" "Add to Contacts" "Message Info."  Please, tell me what i'm doing wrong.

I use a Motorola MOTO™ W755 by the way.

I'm having the same issue. I have the samsung glyde, and while I have recieved quite a few pix messages saying thank you for purchasing a ring tone, it does not give me the option to save a ringtone or save a sound. The only thing I can really save is the message and the only way I can do that is if I lock the message itself. It's quite frustrating, really.

Hmmm, when I purchase a ringtone, or get one from other sources, it does come in as a text message.  When I open the text, the sound begins to play, and I scroll down my options list (I have to scroll because it's not on the first 4 choices, it's #5, save as ringtone, or #6, save sound).  Does the sound play when you open the text?  Does your message show that it's a picture message, indicating there is a file attached?

I think that the text is indicating that there is a file attached.  There is an arrow next to the little open letter icon.  But, I get no music when I open it.

Where did you buy the ringtones from?  Do you have a National Access Block on the phone that would prevent the file from coming through?  If you purchased from Verizon, go into a store and show them the message that you got, and that you cannot retrieve it.  If it is because of a block, they can remove the block to allow you to get the ringtone, and then replace the block.

Verizon has been doing some major website updates the past few days and there HAVE been issues and glitches.  Be patient, and I am sure it will all get straightened out.

I too am having trouble retrieving ringtones from my inbox.  I too only have option to forward, add to contact, lock, message info, or find number and address. I need help being able to utilize ringtones purchased via mediastore, online.

I'm just going to bump all these threads in hopes that someone actually has an answer. Same issue for over a week.

Have no problem doing this with my Samsung Alias 2.  I've received and Saved as a Ringtone several free tones from both phonezoo and myexer.
