What is going on with smart phone/ cellular speeds?
This morning I was supposed to have a video appointment with my doctor at the Veterans' Administration Hospital but my connection on my smartphone was too slow to link.
I was on the 2nd floor of my house where my phone varies between 4G, 5G and 5UW. Phone is a Samsung G21+. The FCC speed test app shows download speeds mostly between 3.5 and 5 Mbps for several weeks now. That's the same speed I receive on Verizon DSL phone line internet!!!! I'm paying A LOT MORE for 2 smart phone plans.
Even if I am trying to open a search page with no graphics, I often get "Slow connection, still loading" on my screen.
A couple hundred yards from me, I can get a 50 to 80Mbps download speed.
