My phone bill was a little higher than usual this month due to an equipment change on another line I made a few weeks ago, I called customer support to have insurance removed from my line which was done in a few seconds and then explained to the rep that I may be a little late on payment this month due to lack of hours at work and being a full-time student my income isn't really that high.
The representative asked if I could wait just a moment while she looked into my bill for a moment, and I told her it wasn't a problem, after about a minute she came back and said she had applied a bill credit of $100 and asked if I would have any problems paying the remaining balance, I was shocked and said it would be no problem! She said that I've been a customer for over 2 years and have never made a late payment and therefore she was happy to make the adjustment for me.
I just got off of the phone and I can't believe that they just took $100 off of my bill, I was not expecting that at all, especially with how often people complain about their customer service, all I have to say is that Verizon has the best service by far (at least in my area) and I definitely plan on sticking with them after this.

Me too, I didn't even know they could do that and was basically just asking if I could pay a little late this month without worrying about my service being terminated (I've never been late before so I wasn't sure what the protocol was).

That's great service. You seem like someone who deserved that, too.
I've never had bad customer service from Verizon either. When I call, I treat the CSRs like I want to be treated.

While I certainly wasn't feeling like I was entitled for them to give me a break or help me, they went above and beyond my initial request and it was a huge help. I know it may not change much for their bottom line, but it's a big change for me as that's now $100 I can use for my other expenses this month.

These are the stories that I like to hear. Because every time I talk with customer service, I am always treated very well. If I ever have a problem (which is rare), it is always taken care of. I never have any problems with my bill. It is always the same each month. Which is why I have been with Verizon since 2007, and hopefully many more! If you want to get somewhere if you ever have a problem.. be nice and respectful to the CSR's.

My experience has been the same.
