when i first got my thunderbolt..it would constantly switch from 4g to 3g and have that lag for a few seconds..frustrated me to the point where i wanted to return it..but now after a few tricks and patience..im 100% happy! Not only does the phone stay on 4G.. the signal is very strong and the 4G Mobile Hotspot works perfectly and its faster than my home internet haha..Battery life is good too so over all ive had success with 4G!
cheers

Intermittent 4g on Thunderbolt. Like this since I purchased the phone on 4/2. Any tips or tricks to fix this this? Anybody hearing when the New RUU will be available for download?

What are the tricks you used? I'm getting ready to return the phone. If there's no 4g, it's just another phone.

Even if it's just 3G and you say it's just another phone, the TB seems to upload/download faster than other phones on 3G network. Besides the Incredible 2 that is, I haven't checked out that speed.
4G works perfectly where I live except the parking garage of my apartment complex but that's because of numerous concrete interfering with the signal.

It's a nationwide problem today. The 4G LTE and the eHPRD (3G) that the Thunderbolt uses is having issues. There is a fix to switch to EdVo Rev A for the time being located within both of these threads.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

My phone was acting up before the outage today. I really never have a consistent 4G signal. Any permanent fixes that you have heard of?
