Verizon's service is no longer reliable. Why? Do you need to upgrade your infrastructure?

i switched to Verizon from Nextel (yes - I've been a verizon customer THAT long) because Verizon's service couldn't be matched with any other carrier.  However, like many others, I don't like Verizon - i stuck with you because your coverage was better.

that's no longer the case.  The service in my home area has noticeably gotten worse.  Dropped calls are now extremely common.  You built your business on reliability.  We paid more for your service because it was the best available - but we resented it.  You have a lot of people who will leave you if someone else can provide comparable service - and we won't be back.  You overcharged us too long.

please address your deteriorating coverage.  You're providing the push necessary for me to explore my options.  I sincerely believe that you have a nontrivial percentage of your customer base who aren't happy with you but feel like we have no other options.  If your coverage is no longer better than Sprint's (or AT&T's or T-Moblil's, ...) we have no reason to continue to subject ourselves to your pricing.

You should look at switching. If Verizon no longer suits your needs then you should find a carrier that does.

Verizon is lying cheating and raping their customers - a class action lawsuits needs to filed as I have not had service for 3 days but am out of town. I will be switching over to another provider. Verizon is unethical - cheats and over charges all the time. Scum!!

This is not experience we want for you, Vsbeach. You're a valued customer, and we would never want you to get that impression of us. The last thing we want is for you to cancel service. Let's work together and get to the bottom of this. Does service improve if you travel outside a 5-mile radius, or is it only happening in that one location? Are other Verizon devices near you also having no service? What is the city and major intersection this is happening at?

I completely agree with you! I live near Burlington, VT (area code 05401) and for the past six months have had declining coverage, in one of the largest urban areas in this state.

I can no longer place calls from my couch, I need to stand by a window. When I am outside, calls are dropped.

I have no reason to pay for service I cannot access, and I am seriously considering switching to another carrier, after being a loyal Verizon customer for over 20 years. This is absurd. Why isn't the cell signal in this area being addressed?  I am paying for cell coverage, so please don't tell me to use my Wi-Fi signal... fix the towers, please.

Verizon (nor does any carrier) does NOT guarantee connectivity INSIDE of any structure. It is technically called Mobile service not Sitting On Your Sofa service. All new phone do have WiFi calling. Enabling this FREE feature on your phone connects to WiFi and uses your regular minutes to make calls.

thats because they are charging you for a service they are not providing on purpose and want to see how long you will put up with them robbing you! CANCEL IMMEDIATELY

At Verizon we’ve invested 9 billion dollars a year in our network infrastructure to continue to deliver the best network. We are relentless and will not settle for less. Cell sites are shared resources so even with the nation’s best network we can not guarantee service indoors. I understand how important it is to be able to use your phone while at home. Wi-Fi calling allows you to make and receive calls and send messages even when in your home. You have a Wi-Fi calling capable device and can easily turn it on with HD voice. This will expand your calling options and no extra charge.

During a call the connection is lost. I have to call again. This is Verizon to Verizon, it's been happening sporadically for a couple of years but this year (last year?) has reached the point of an almost constant occurrence.

This NEVER used to happen with Verizon. We have an iPhone 6+ that it happens with & an iPhone 4S.

Your coverage is now what at&t used to offer. You really need to invest in your infrastructure. You won't get all of us back if you run us off with lousy coverage - that's all you've ever had to offer & you made us pay dearly for it. Please give me some assurance that I don't need to switch carriers!!!!

The issue relates to lack of, and dropped, service in the corporate limits of Crewe, and  various areas within the County (Nottoway). The problems commenced approximately 14-months ago and have remained, and/or worsened. I have had multiple family members and other residents complain of same. Whether it’s in/around their homes or when traveling throughout the area.

When speaking to VZW staff, it has been recommended to reset the phone, verify software is up-to-date, enable WiFi calling, and enabling/disabling LTE voice calling. None of these has helped outside of the house (WiFi calls ok inside).  I agree with many residents, that it appears that as smart phone use has increased, local service area performance has suffered.

Obviously, VZW has the largest Nationwide service area, but rural appear to left by the wayside as emphasis is focused on the metropolitan areas.

Sadly, I had better connectivity long ago with antenna equipped flip-phone.

I live in Maryland and in the month there are huge dead spots that did not exist, on the ICC (MD-200), several on I95, 695. All highways used to have wonderful coverage. Now you can forget about talking on your Bluetooth while driving.

I know how important it is to have service where you use your phone the most. We take our network performance seriously and want to do everything we can to help. It can be tricky to guarantee service while in transit due to several factors that are outside of our control. When you are not driving on the highway, how is your service?

Thank you for your response.

I have complied with the request to remove and reinsert my SIM card on my iPhone7. Nothing has changed. As a matter of fact in the area I have described to you, you are now down to 3G service, and calls are lucky to go through.

Service while I am not driving is still spotty. Your service has been great in this area, up until a month ago.

Other service providers, are great service in your deficit areas. Can you please take the time and reach out to your maintenance folks, and find out what is doing on? I am in telecom myself, and I know that they will have the answers. Please obtain this information for me.
