We used to have great service, now it sucks! Constantly dropping calls, dead areas that have never been dead. Getting fed up and getting no help from Verizon.

katcurtis,
Let's look further into your area in effort to provide a resolution! What zip code are you located in and which device do you have? Is this happening in a specific area (indoors only)? Please share details so I may further assist. Thank you.

It is both indoors and out, when we are driving in the area and in the house. Our Zip is 85617. I have an iphone, my husband has a casio, my friends and family have various phones and they are experiencing the same thing. At one time we had someone tell us because of the high winds we have been experiencing this past couple of years that I may have moved something on the towers. I don’t know – all I know is Verizon used to have the best service in our area and now it seems to be the worst.

I have the same issue.  The service in my area (84106) used to be great, now I can't even make calls from my own home without constant dropping.  I'm noticing really poor service all over the state of Utah, as well.   I rely on my phone for work so this is becoming a big deal.  Ready to bail on Verizon...

@H1X,

Having reliable service is definitely important. Especially for work! All good in that area. Are you having issue with voice or data? Is it only when inside your home? What phone do you have?

I have an iphone 5s, my husband has a casio, my sister in law has a Samsung, my friends have various phones we are all experiencing the same thing – dropped calls, no service and it is outside as well as inside the house or the car. At our residence and along the drive to work or to the store. I don’t text much or use my data much so I am mostly concerned with the telephone service.

katcurtis, we definitely want to bring back your wireless service to the way it use to be! What's your zip code? We'll take a closer look into your area and check for service issues. Meanwhile, we recommend that you power your devices off/on to soft reset and reset the network on your iPhone in Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network.

That is all well and good for me but what about my husband’s phone? His is a regular basic phone not an iphone.

We'd love to help your husband get the improved service he needs! From a basic phone, he can dial *228 and select option 2 when prompted to update the connection options for his phone.

Well we tried all that and it did not help, we are still experiencing dropped calls and dead zones where there used to be none

katcurtis,

Let's keep working on this! Do your dropped calls only happen at home? Do you have a difference in coverage inside, compared to outside?

Dropped calls happen when I am in the house, not just a certain room either, and dropped calls happen when I am driving from work to on my way home, or going to the store. We live in a rural community and never had this problem, until a year ago we loved Verizon because they were the only ones that had no issues and now we are experiencing dropped calls where we never had dropped calls before.

That's the same with us down here in TN. My home phone has even got to where it'll hang up on you and their voice sounds like a fax machine. You might get a word or two if your lucky.

chevyz28lvr,

Let's take a deep dive into your situation. What zipcode are you in? What model phone do you use? Is it only voice services that are affected?

Hi chevyz28lvr!

Thanks for the details! Did you recently move to the area? Does the issue occur outside of your home as well?

Thanks,

katcurtis,

Thanks for the additional details. I looked a bit deeper into this area. I see that a network extender may help out with your services inside of your home. Click the link for more details http://vz.to/IHRT6h

And then what helps with outside the home? I will be at work and my husband will call me on his way home from work and it will drop the calls every time, in places that never dropped calls before.

Same here in in many parts of Eastern PA. Camer to Verizon from Sprint just over a month or so ago, and was initially blown away. However 4G LTE is STILL down in Lansdale, PA area-It's been at least a few weeks now. Since buying the Galax...even after resetting phone can barely get 2-3 Mbps. Other areas-including parts of Pottstown, Douglassville, and Reading are also significantly slower than they were. Zip codes: 19454, 19465, 19518, 19606

Is there a NETWORK STATUS page at Verizon somewhere? Where are outages reported?
