When to start International Travel Plan

I understand how the International Travel Plan works, and I am going to need to order it soon. My trip is 23 days so the 30 calendar days of use works great for me. My question is, do I have to start the plan to begin exactly the day I land in Europe, or can I begin it a day or two before I leave? If I activate it let's say the day I am to depart the US, will I still be able to use the phone in the US that day? Same with coming back: will the phone work in the US as soon as I land even though the International Travel Plan is still active?

We apologize for the delayed response, SLOBIZMAN! Yes, you are able to activate your international plan the day you depart, and still use domestic service while still in the U.S., as international plans function more as an added feature (like using Wi-Fi Calling), instead of a direct replacement for your current plan.
