Why is my service so spotty?

I usually have great service at work, but over the past few weeks my (phone) (not web connection calls) calls cut out about every 10 seconds in a conversation.  It's as if every 10th word drops.  I've tried disabling "wi-fi calling", but the same result.

I have a suspicion, if (Verizon) can confirm.  I live in a very popular beach location in Miramar Beach, FL (32550).  Of course, this is the busiest time of the year (and will be for the next 4 or 5 weeks).  Could the problem be that with SO MANY vacationers in town, the additional pressure on the towers cannot handle the volume?

Thanks in advance for any feedback...

Ron711,

Being able to talk, and communicate reliably with your device is key. At the same time you are right on the money. When an area becomes more populated that normal, that will cause more traffic on our shared network, and can result in less signal. slowness, as well as choppier if not dropped calls. Think of it as a busy highway. I recommend staying connected to WiFi when possible to help overcome the traffic on our network. Be sure that your WiFi calling is enabled to help with the connection: https://www.verizon.com/support/wifi-calling-faqs
