Wifi Calling Not Working

I currently have an S22 Ultra. It is a Verizon carrier phone on a Verizon network. I am having issue send/receiving calls and texts over Wi-Fi. When I have zero service and there is an "x" next to the bars indicating I have no service, if I try to make a Wi-Fi call it tells me that my phone is not registered to a network and the call cannot be completed. I've also tried to make a Wi-Fi call with airplane mode turned on and it says that I must turn off airplane mode to complete the call. What is the point of Wi-Fi calling then if I can't make a call over Wi-Fi...

I am so sorry you are having trouble with your Wi-Fi calling. We want to make sure this is working for you. It does have to be activated when you have a good signal. Then, once activated, you can use it in other areas. I have done this in other countries. 

 

Have you tried to activate this in a good coverage area?

Hi Jenelle,

Yes I have. I've had it activated for a while now with all of the emergency contact information filled but more so recently been in poor coverage due to work.

If I have service, no I am not experiencing issues calling or texting. Currently located in Rochester, NY. Wifi calling is necessary because the building I work in has very poor cell coverage.
