Verizon Wireless is always looking for ways to improve their coverage area.
Not every wireless carrier can cover everywhere, that's prohibited by the FCC.
Verizon Wireless does their best to provide coverage where users will need it most. Heck, Verizon puts coverage where no one needs it...which can become a great benefit to some.
They spend, on average AT LEAST $4 Billion in their network to improve/enhance it. In recent years, they've went as far as putting $6 billion in to improve/enhance their network. They are the biggest investor when it comes to wireless!
Verizon Wireless usually doesn't know of a problem in their network until a customer reports it. That's the luxury of technical support and trouble tickets. They can troubleshoot your phone, first, to determine if it may be a device or network issue. If they believe it's a network issue, they'll research it and get back to you with a response within 24-72 hours, sometimes longer if there's an actual problem with the network.
If the determine it's simply bad coverage, this area will be put in the back of their minds. This means, you may someday see coverage in the area improved if they feel it would be a benefit to a large population.

Remember NEVER to call from your wireless phone for tech support.
