Hi, ever since I installed my new 4G air card in my laptop, a program I use to transmit logs to the home office is not working. The program uses ftp to transmit. I'm able to make the ftp connection but nothing further, it just hangs. I also tried it with my windows firewall turned off and snoozed my AV. Still no luck. Does Verizon block any ftp related ports? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

I'm having a similar problem as of 9/23/2011. Did you ever get your problem fixed? Verizon help did not have a quick answer. They escalated the ticket to their engineers but that will take 5 days.

Time59; I have a similar problem with my Pantech USB modem. I don't know if this will help, but I've found that I need to start up the FTP program (in my case WS_FTP95) BEFORE I start up Verizon Access Manager and connect.
I think it may have something to do with VAM snagging up the available ports that the FTP needs. '...worth a try. Good Luck
