Help!!! Have an I phone 7plus, want to be able to use camera & music while in Mexico but want to make sure data and phone are off. What do I need to shut off on my phone so I will not get charged for data or phone charges?

Just put the phone in airplane mode and keep it in airplane mode the whole time. As long as you have the airplane icon up, you won't get roaming charges.
After the airplane mode is on, you can separately turn on bluetooth and wifi.
If you have wifi calling active and you are on free wifi in Mexico, you can actually send and receive text and calls in Mexico for free. YOu will see airplane mode, VZ Wi-Fi, and then the wifi symbol. If you see that you won't get any roaming charges.
