Does autopay kick in right away or is there month's delay?

Hi,

I just set up autopay for my new phone to come from my credit card.  Does this start right away (October in my case) or will I have to pay manually in October and wait until November for it to work automatically?  Thanks.

I have a similar problem too, after I put in my credit card info, I got no acknowledgement of any kind and have no clue when I'll get mins. Please let me know if a solution is found
