Does anyone know if I am paying for the text messages that are sent to me from Verizon that tell me my balance is low? I get at least one text a day once the balance hits $5 and since I have to pay .99 cents each day that the phone is used - is this their way of making me pay every day?
Also - is there any way that I can turn those notifications off?

I think I may have just answered my own question. The only activity on my phone yesterday was the daily text from Verizon saying that my balance is low - I was charged the .99 cent daily usage fee.
Verizon may have just lost a long-time customer!
I just checked and you are right, Verizon called me this a.m and I was charged the 99 cents, I am calling to have it removed and you should also do the same. They have texted me in the past and there is never a charge, but there is a charge if they call you on the phone.
Anytime you get a text from verizon it is FREE - lol
