I have an old pixel XL that has not been active for a couple years. I bought it through Verizon but I now want to activate it with a new number and a different carrier for my international trip. Is this phone unlocked? If not, how do I get it unlocked?

@jchu100 The phone has been unlocked since you bought it.
Now any new phone you buy is locked for 60 days. As of July 2019 Verizon phones are locked for 60 days.
