I have a Verizon Wireless network extender for cell phone signal. It keeps losing the signal to my phone. When it connects I get all 5 bars. Without it I barley get 1 in my house. Issue is my phone keeps losing the extender signal. Last night I went to bed, and was connected, my office is not 10 feet from the extender and this AM my phone lost the extender signal. Extender has all 4 nice solid blue lights. When I call #48 it says I am not connected, so now I have to go put my phone practically on top of the extender to get it back.
I keep seeing something online about a web interface to add my phone to it, but cannot find anywhere to log in. Also when you call for support no one at Verizon knows how to help with these! I love this thing when it works, but why does it keep losing the signal to my cell phone?! I do not want to have to keep "pairing" up my phone to the extender every time I walk into my house. Any ideas out there?

It sounds like the device might not be properly registered. Maybe you should Call Verizon Wireless Customer Service (800) 922-0204 and tell them you can’t find the device configuration on MyVerizon and perhaps there is an issue with the device registration on your account.
If this doesn’t improve the situation post details about your internet connection including the provider, speed and location. Have you tried bypassing the router and connecting it directly to the modem it see if it works better?

I am having the same issue. Plz update this forum if you find a fix. This is really annoying... as I am missing calls now... and am having to redial due to poor reception and so forth - the whole idea behind the purchase in the first place. Anyone out there?

We also have the business extender, which for $400, one would think that having dropped calls would not be an issue, or at least rare occurrence. We have all the blue lights, stand right next to it and still have poor or no connection. This is the third extender we have had and while Verizon has replaced the prior two, the same issues still occur. We check the internet speed to be sure it's sufficient but more often than not, it is an unresolved problem.

Matt Clauseen,
I truly am sorry to hear of the service issues you are stil experiencing even with the network extender. It is truly odd that this is persists. I see that you state that you have a network extender for your business. Have you contacted your business account point of contact representative to see about filing a network ticket to see why your issues with dropped calls remain with the network extender?

To be honest I think Verizon should offer this to their customers at a much lower cost since they are not offering wifi calling anytime in the near future. Do not get me wrong I love their cell service but when I am at home I barely get one bar of service so I get drop calls or no calls sometimes. Would love to purchase one of these one day and give them a try but I have a $400 bill with them already. I thought they might discount me something with all the business I do with them but guess not. Hope you get your issues worked out with it as it seems like a great idea and I think it would work great at my house if I had one as I have great high speed internet. Shame this thing is so pricey for what we already pay.

Have you called often to complain? You can see if they will give you a discount, they often. Knock 75 off and it's 175.

I should mention that the extender won't help with 4G service. If you're only getting 1 bar of 3G though, it will at least help with calls.

Same issues for us: 1 bar without the extender, 5 bars with... BUT only when iPhone 6 is close by extender. I'm reading through VZ online instructions: moved unit out of office, away from Comcast Blast enabled (130mbps) modem to hallway (BUT the ethernet cable provided is only 6 feet), installed 25' GPS receiver cable so that's now hanging in a window. Helpful VZ video tells me to "place your network extender in a window if you're having reception problems"! How am I supposed to do that if I have a six foot ethernet cable? Right now, it's sitting on a stepladder in our hallway outside the office. As stated above by crashley, it works great in and out of the house WHEN IT'S "PAIRED" WITH THE EXTENDER but phone randomly drops the extender's signal and won't pick it up unless I come back upstairs and rest it next to the extender... and hope.

So now I have the extender in a second floor window using a 25' CAT5 cable and I'll be going back to VZ extender instructions online to read more - as a last resort, I'll try calling tech assistance.

I have been through the ringer with Verizon in regard to the Samsung Network Extender. It worked for 1-2 weeks and now I either don't connect or it doesn't let my devices and I get 1-2 bars. I have been escalated to L2 support who have worked on it and now they are claiming my network router must be at fault. Really?? I'm on Verizon FIOS paying extra for a 75/75 Internet speed. I test it and am getting 83/94 so if my FIOS router was bad I would never get those speeds.
What I didn't do is was read the reviews - they are terrible. Just type "review of Verizon Network Extender."
If someone doesn't replace this brand new unit purchased on 7/15 I will start posting on AT&T's Facebook and every other social media. I refuse to wait 25 minutes for a L1 tech who transfers me to a L2 who tells me the techies will take care of it.
Don't kill yourself because even if you connect the Samsung wait till you try to connect your devices.
