What plan should I use when I travel to France?

I want to communicate with my people I'm traveling with if separated. Don't want an outrageous bill from call or text from  the US.

2 options

TravelPass $10 per day you use it.  Uses your plan just like you are in US.  Allows you to call any US or French number using your minutes. 

30 day international preferred $40.  Get you 100 voice minutes, 100 outgoing text, 100 MB data.  Overage is 25 cents a minute, 25 cents outgoing text, $25 per extra 100 MB. incoming text free.
