How to remove a line from your account depends on what you want to do with that line. If someone is using the line, or wants to take it over, then a Service Transfer will take the line off of your account, and move it to an account under the other person. That includes the device payment on the line if there is one: https://www.verizon.com/support/transfer-service/overview/
If you want to remove the line permanently without someone else taking it over, then that would be a disconnection and can only be done through customer service. You can contact customer service by visiting our contact us page
This link covers more on that, including info on the previously mentioned Service Transfer: https://www.verizon.com/support/cancel-suspend-transfer-lines/ . Just be aware that if you do disconnect a line, and there is a device payment on that line, you will be billed the full remaining balance of that device payment on the next available bill.

What if the other person doesn’t have an account setup? I want to remove my daughter’s exboyfriend from my account but not disconnected it.

Great question. In this case, it is possible to create a new seperate account for that number, if the person who is keeping the line decides to do so. If you have other questions, let us know.
