How do I turn off Google Play Services? It is using up too much of my battery. It never used to do this- only recently. When i bring up the app the button to disable or stop the app is grayed out. It is the most batter-consuming app on my phone other than the Android system.

Which phone model do you have? Have you tried clearing the cache for all of your applications?

I am unable to view either of the links provided below. When I click on them the response on the Verizon website is “an unexpected error has occurred.”

I tried with both Chrome and Microsoft Edge. I got the same error messages in every instance! And I’m not going to change all my browser settings just to try and read these links. I should NOT have to do that. Your lack of support is disappointing.

FLGolfer3,
I'm sorry that the links weren't working. To stop any app on your phone, you would follow theset steps:
- From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon > Settings > Apps (Device section).
- Locate then select the appropriate app.
If system apps aren't visible, tap the Menu icon (located in the upper-right) > Show system. - Tap FORCE STOP.
- Review the notification then tap OK to confirm.
If after doing that, you still continue to notice your battery is draiing, please let us know.
