Moto and/or OK Google?

I have OK Google Voice activated on my Moto Z Force.  It's not terribly useful, and the Trusted Voice feature simply does not work.  At one time, when I had Moto voice activated at the same time, I lost the ability to use my mic with Trusted Voice because of a well-known bug in the phone/OS.  After a factory reset, i was able to activate OK Google Trusted Voice again.  However, it doesn't work properly, so I'm thinking about whether I should set up the Voice system in Moto.  I don't think that I have much to lose, but is there any advantage to having Moto voice activated, as it apparently is just a front end to OK Google?  Thanks.
