Ok  I recently bought the RAZR MAXX with the 16GB internal storage(but you can only use 8 of it...ssshhhh) and the 21 hours of promised talk time.  I actually had to use my phone as a phone yesterday but I wasnt worried.  I had the RAZR MAXX.

I unplugged around 6:00AM.  100% charge.

Talked for maybe on hour around lunch.

By 2:30 I was down to 40% -there was no way this was going to last all night so I plugged it in while I could

I was able to get it back up to 70% before I left the office at 4PM.

I talked for a few hours after unplugging it between 5 and 8pm.

By the time I got off my call at 8:30PM my phone is at 10% and battery indicator is red.

So with the 30% bump i gave the phone in the middle of the day I went through 120% of battery life.(100% down to 40% then 70% down to 10%)  If I didnt bump it during the day I would have died by 7 at the latest.

Here is my battery break down at 10:30PM...

Total time since last 'full charge'(this time includes the 30% bump) - 14 hour 40 minutes

Battery level 10%(I havent touched it since 8:30)

Call Time usage - 61% - 4 hours 3 minutes - ummm where is my 21 hours of talk time

Operating system - 16%  2 hr 37 min  20 kb sent  97 kb received

Display - 14%  3 hour 59 min (this is with the screen set to 'battery saver' mode which dims the screen)

Angry Birds Rio  3%  15 minutes

Standby 2%

Idle 2%  10 hours 40 mins

So I talked for 4 hours/3 minutes and used 61% of my charge(and that is with a 30% bump).  The rest is just operating system and display. The phone was idle for over 10 hours out of the 14 it was unplugged and my battery is at 10%???

How long can Verizon get away with this marketing scam before people start to call them on it??  I was told by level 2 tech support at Verizon(and I quote) "Sir, the 21 hours of talk time was acheived in a lab under ideal circumstances...you wont get these same figures"...omg...I understand that I wont get the 'lab' figures but I would atleast expect to get close to that figure...or maybe 2/3 of that figure...or maybe half of that figure(kind of like the half of the internal storage I get to use....sssshhhh)...

Do I have another dud RAZR MAXX?  Is anyone really getting anywhere close to 10 hours of talk time let alone 21...?? Can others who actually use the phone as a phone post their battery figures at the end of the day?  I need to see if it is just my phone or if it is just another Verizon deception?  Thanks

Consumer Reports tested the phone and had the following in their review:

"Outstanding battery life, with 13.25 hours of talk time"

I obviously have another dud phone...

Yesterday was basically the same as the day before but less talk time and still used 120% battery since I had to charge it half way through the day.  Here was the battery breakdown

Battery was 100% at 6AM

By 2PM it was at 40%

Bumped it back up to 70%

By 9PM I was at 10%

Call usage - 37%  1 Hour 27 Min

Operating System - 22%

Display 20%

The rest was minimal stuff less than 5%.

My Verizon experience is not going well....

So none of the people with the little _VZW after their name have any input on this...it seems Verizon is trying to sweep this under the rug and pull back from the 21 hour talk time claim after they suckered countless people with false advertising...
