So I understand VZ is waiving the $35 activation fee for the Xoom and Galaxy Tab, but only back to March 1st.
Am I just out of luck?!

Is this waiver available at corporate stores, or only independent dealers? I called a couple of corporate stores yesterday, and they said that they would only waive the fee if you signed a two-year contract. The flyer specifically says month-to-month. VZW employee, please respond!

Hello,
The promotion for having the Activation Fee waived started March 11, 2011 is included with the Xoom for a limited time only. If you have the flyer and wish to seek to have the activation waived prior to the start of the promotion, please contact the store or vendor where you purchased the Xoom or Tablet from and provide your mobile number to request the activation waived. We will be happy to review the the matter. Please also use this link below to inquiry about the activation fee being waived for online orders. When you go to the, scroll down to the lower right hand side and click on for the details.

I started my service on March 5th, so I too have the $35.00 activation fee on my account; however I emailed Verizon on this issue and they agreed to remove the charge without hesitation. The rep called me within hours to assure me she could take care of this for me and to let me know she would call me back as soon as she took care of it for me.
Very helpful customer service!
