I'm not saying Apple makes the best routers but, I've only had to buy one, a year ago and it's worked (invisibly) ever since. Also, My Genius days were never plagued by AP Extreme issues. In fact the only one I've ever seen have a problem was simply swapped out, even a year after the warranty was up...
The thing works flawlessly with Macs, Windows PCs, X-Box, Droids, iPhones, etc all going at the same time. I even leave my connection open so my neighbors can use it. I'm seriously thinking about switching from cable to 4gLTE though. The speeds are impressive.
