Backup Assistant Plus Emails

I set up Backup Assistant Plus using a gmail account as the sync point.  Now every time I receive an email I receive the email on my phone as normal but I also receive the email on my phone through Backup Assistant Plus.  How do I stop that?

Hello jsb210,

Sorry you're having trouble stopping the duplicate emails!  I would like to help.

Just to clarify how the Backup Assistant Plus application works; it doesn't sync email, only contacts, pictures, videos and music.  The sync is done over our network, as long as you have a data connection.  The email duplication may be as a result of having the GMail account added twice in the "My Accounts" section of the phone.  You can remove an email account by following the instructions here.

Nonetheless, as soon as I installed Backup Plus on my Droid Bionic, I started getting each email and 3 duplicates (including my sent emails).

Anyone have any ideas on this?

Leekellerking, I can certainly assist you to see what may be causing this issue. Are you still receiving duplicates? Are the duplicates and triplicates showing in your email inbox or under Backup Assistant Plus? Try clearing settings from Backup Assistant Plus and your Email account. You'll need to set both back up again.
