Does anyone have any ideas on what you can do to extend the battery life on the Droid Razr? I have turned everything off and did what they say to do to extend battery life and I still have to charge my phone twice a day. Since the Droid Razr doesn't have a removable battery you can't attach an extended life battery.

There's a lot of factors. Most Android phones have 3-4 hours of screen time. Also background data can keep from your phone from sleeping which uses some battery.

For a portable battery charging device I would recommend Powergen's 2900 mAH charger. It'll give you over 1 full charge and comes with a built in microUSB charger in a nice slim profile. It also has a USB out charger for any other devices you might want to use it on. 2900 + 1780 = 4680 mAh which is more than the Maxx will give you.
As far as extending the battery life I use Juice Defender. It comes in a free version and two paid depending on what features you want. I have the Ultimate for $4.99 and find I have grown into using most all of the features. You can compare the features here to see what you want.

Turn off the 4G and use 3G. I only switch to 4G if I'm downloading songs or watching videos. You do not need 4G for every day use. Also, use Task Killer and turn of the vibrate for your text messages. I use to need to put it on the charger twice a day. After doing what I mentioned, I can go two days without charging.

I have disabled backgroung data, use data saver, and smart actions, adjust screen to auto adjust to light conditions, and set screen time out to 2 minutes. I get 14 hours on a charge, that includes texting, some internet use and plenty of talking. I also use calender and other apps at random.

The update and a few adjustments in the smart action app, I am very pleased. I
hope the I.C.S. software upgrade, will make it even better. To get a 32 gb Droid
Razr for $99. plus tax total cost on upgrade, I had to jump at it

You Do not want to Use Task Killers. What Apps are you Currently Running on that thing. That can be half of your problem right There. An why it's acting the Way it is. Another thing i want to ask is How are Charging the Device are U using the Charger that came with it or By the Computer ?

I bought this phone for all of the features, including 4G and faster processor. If I have to turn everything off that I paid premium money for to save battery life, it does seem like a waste of money. I am constantly worrying about what tasks are loaded, what screen brightness is in, how long I have before I need to charge, cant use the GPS or anything else then this device is not a life saver but a life stressing device. I am about to sell it right after just a month of usage and try the MAXX. It is a great device if the battery last longer than the 1.5 hours I am getting on a charge. Apparently the MAXX just increase the battery life some but not what they claim, but I hope to get at least 4 hours on day with the options I am using.
