Battery Not Lasting Full Day Any More

I've had my Droid Razr Maxx for about nine months, and while I used to get through a day with one charge, I now have to recharge it by the afternoon.  Is there a way to replace the battery?  Does Verizon's insurance cover this?

Thanks!

John

Do you make sure you don't have any apps or unnecessary processes running in the background? The Maxx is one of those where the batter doesn't come out right? I'm not sure how Verizon's warranty covers that. Normally I don't think a battery is covered but since you can't remove it you'd think they would.

Yep, I'm running pretty much the same apps as before.  And you're right, the battery is not user-changeable.

Thanks!

Continuing to post 'STOP' to this thread does nothing but clog up the thread.  As noted in an earlier post, if you no longer wish to receive e-mail notifications from the forum, you'll need to change your preferences ... go to the top of the page, click the drop-down next to your forum name, and choose Preferences.  Then make the necessary changes and click Save at the bottom.

One suggestion I have for you is an external battery, that way you can charge it on the go Smiley Happy I know it costs a bit, but better than buying a brand new Razr MAXX

"Pretty much" is not the same as EXACTLY the same apps. Some of these apps have sneaky background processes running all the time. That's why I always make sure I have background data shut off. And If I need it I'll turn it on for that time period and make sure it's shut of again when I'm done.

Thanks, I checked the battery usage by app and it doesn't show anything that I didn't have on there some time ago.  It's not surprising that the battery would need replacement. Googling around further, I see that it is possible to send it in for service, I'll check that out.

Well I find it surprising that it needs replacement after only 9 months. it should at least work for the 2 years of your contract. And to have to send in the whole phone to get the battery replaced is stupid. Makes me leery about getting any phone that has an non removable battery ever. Also makes the resale value low in my book.
