Both my wife and I have had this phone for a very LONG 18 months, and they have become unusable. It is beyond slow. It literally takes 5 minutes to google search something. My RAM usage is constantly below 80 mb (there's 1 GB RAM on the phone). It won't dial phone numbers, it freezes, and is basically junk.
I have done several factory restores, and even not installed any crazy apps, to no avail. Both my wife and I have had them replaced several times due to this issue, and it continues to happen. I have wiped cache, even bought 3rd party apps that speed up your phone, and they are temporary fixes.
This problem is repeatable, over and over, on numerous Razr Maxx's.
I am beyond frustrated, and almost to the point of considering canceling my contract and just leaving (after 15+ years). I cannot wait another 6 months for an upgrade. This phone is awful, and I'm done troubleshooting as I'm now on my 4th phone with the same issues.
I believe this is truly a Motorola problem with Android Jelly Bean, because things were never this bad until that awful update. Now Motorola is focused on their new devices and the Razr is left in the dust.
I tried upgrading to a new device using Edge, but in my cart it said I'm not eligible for an upgrade (even though I used to get early upgrades after 18 months). Verizon - you always drop the ball by crippling your devices, and then give your customers the run around. We deserve better.
