Is anyone else having the following problems with their Droid Razr?
CallWaiting calls not disconnecting. You're on the phone, receive another incoming call, and you switch over to answer. You tell the caller you are on the phone, and will call them right back. They hang up the call, but the line is still connected to the network.
How can you tell? Look at your phone screen. When the caller hangs up, the screen should revert back to the first caller, and should show their photo ID, if one is assigned. Instead, you see the "In Call" icon, and the option to switch calls. The switch calls feature should only be available, when you have other calls waiting, which allows you to switch back and forth between callers. When you end the original call, look at your screen, you will see the first caller's photo ID, then the second caller's ID. This means the second caller's network connection did not disconnect when they hung up. I had this problem with my Droid X. I was sent 2 replacement phones to correct, or to think the problem was with the phone, and it would go away with a replacement. Not true. I ended up buying a Droid Razr, and the same thing is happening. I wish Verizon Wireless would recognize this issue as a software/operating system bug, and produce a fix/update.
Second problem. Setting up multiple email accounts, then assigning different ringtones for each mailbox notification. The Settings will allow you to setup this up. After assigning a different ringtone to my Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, I should be able to determine which Inbox received a new email, without picking up the phone. This feature DOES NOT WORK! No matter how you set it up, the only ringtone you hear when you receive emails, is the Default ringtone. The only exception, the Gmail assigned ringtone does work.
I have addressed both of these issues, but apparently Verizon Wireless does not believe these are legitimate issues or complaints.
Yesterday, every ringtone I had assigned to my email accounts and contacts, were either changed, removed, or reassigned back to the default ringtone, without my doing.
Something is wrong, and these issues need to be fixed. I am seriously thinking about leaving this carrier, and moving over to Sprint. AT&T is totally out of the question?

Agentg14, I can certainly assist you with this issue and hate to hear you are considering leaving VZW for this issue. For the call waiting issue, I did test with two different devices (Nexus and HTC Trophy) and I was able to duplicate what you are experiencing. It does switch me back to the first person, but gives me the option to switch back to original call. This is not a design flaw. Our network still recognizes what time the second call started and stopped, so you will not be billed extra. Another thing you can do so that it only shows that one call is end the call you want to end. The phone will disconnect both calls and about 5 seconds later, your phone will ring with the first person still connected. They will not notice that the call ever disconnected and will still be on hold.
For your email notification issue, are you going to your Email icon first and then setting the notifications? I was able to find a YouTube video that gives instructions to make sure this is the same way you are setting yours up. See here. If this is the way you are setting yours up, are you using a ringtone from an application that was downloaded or one of the default tones? Try a reset by pressing and holding the volume key (both up & down) and the power button until phone reboots. Try setting up the ringtones again.
Let me know how this works out for you.

Hello,
I understand the response the for the call waiting issue. For the email notification ringtone setup. I am using the default ringtones. Here's what I am doing:
From the Messaging menu, I press the Menu button bottom left corner, select Message settings
Then Email option
Then Notifications, another window opens, to select which email account
After choosing an account, the menu is Notifications, Select ringtone, Vibrate...I select Ringtone, then choose a tone.
Exit menus.
This is repeated for all other accounts.
When an email comes in for Yahoo, Hotmail, ect, I should hear the individual tones I setup.
I do not. Instead, I hear the Default tone that is setup in Settings, Sound, Notification ringtone

Hi again,
Resetting sound, master reset, removing the SIM while the phone is powered on, then reinserting the SIM, none of these suggestions have worked. I am on my 3rd Droid Razr. The latest one, no Notification sounds at all.
I ready to leave on move to another phone or carrier today. I will contacting Verizon Wireless for a refund.
