Through your Play Store?
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

You can also Tap Menu Key the one with 3 Horizontal left of the Home Button then Go to Setting-->Applications--> Manage Applications--> Tap Manage Applications--> then select Downloaded Scroll to the App you want to Remove tap on the App And up on the Right Corner it will say Un-Install Tap that let it Process an then Tap your Home Button! The app is then Removed..

You can also go into the app tray or whatever you wanna call it and hold your finger on the app you want gone until a little menu pops up with the uninstall option at the bottom then hit uninstall. Just thought I'd add that

Why do you want to remove it and re-download it? Are you having problems with it? If you are, you could also try clearing the apps "cache" area, which would be like removing the app adding it back as if it were never there. If you simply uninstall it, and then re-add it, the cache data will still be there, and it will use it.

Sometimes Removing an App an then Re-Installing Helps on a Device N.D.U Because it Clears out all the Clutter of the App and When it Re-installed it's installing it for the First time..basically..b33
