I am researching the Razr Maxx for my upcoming upgrade and was wondering whether I can access the internet while talking on the phone? Also, has anyone experienced any issues that I should know about before I purchase it? Thanks.

Thanks B33. Yes, I am in a 4G area. How do you like your Razzr Maxx (if that is what you have). I would be new to Android and a little nervous before "taking the jump".

I think I am pretty computer savy. I don't know the Android system at all though, have not "played" with it yet. But I love customization and all the "bells and whistles" so from what I've read it seems that Android might be a better fit. The only concern that I have would be with the stability of the Android OS. I have read/heard some "horror" stories about how unstable it is. In my line of work, I am on call pretty much 24/7 so I have to have a VERY reliable phone.

I don't think Android is unstable. Any "horror" stories I've heard have been from people who rooted their phones and basically broke something they weren't supposed to be playing with.
The Razr is my first Android phone and it took a bit of time (~2 weeks) to get used to having options I didn't have with an iPod Touch. I had to keep reminding myself to hit the menu key if I didn't see what I wanted.
Many things people think of as their phone are really the OS - if you're computer savy you probably know what that's like. Someone says "my computer won't work" and it's really a software issue. So it would probably be worth the time to look over some Android info and get familiar with it, along with a basic idea of how to do different things on your phone. Below are a couple of links I found helpful, and maybe you will too.
- Android 2.3.4 Users Guide (not the latest version - which I can't find - but still incredibly useful)
- The Complete Android Guide
- Droid Razr Simulator (not the Maxx, but except for the battery, the same thing)
I don't think you'll have a problem with Android if the above pretty much makes sense to you. And you'll probably love all the flexibility you'll have. The Razr's a great phone (the Maxx, even better!) and I suspect you'll be wishing you'd made the move sooner.

As far as I know you can, B33. (Assume you mean a P.M.?) If there's a problem, let me know.
