Contacts Synchronized from Exchange Misfiled

Many contacts in my Outlook (connected to corporate Exchange server) address book are just companies, organizations, or other entries with a "company name" but without any First Name or Last Name. These work perfectly in Outlook and are automatically filed there using the company name, and these also synchronized perfectly with my previous BlackBerry device. Now, with the RAZR MAXX, the contacts are interpreted by the device as the last word in the "company name"  being the Last Name, which makes finding them in the address book ("People") a royal pain.

For example, United Airlines get filed not under U, where one would expect to find it, but instead under A!

Is there any way to have the RAZR MAXX app just use and file things the way they are in Outlook, which, like it or not, is about the gold standard for corporate work?

Hello to you Kccmc!

Having organized contacts allows you to do organized business! I know a transition from one operating system to another can take some time to get used to, but I do have a suggestion for you!

If you open People(contacts) > Tap Menu Key > Choose Settings > Choose Display Options you can choose how the contact order is displayed!

Let me know how this works for you!

Thanks,

Melissa,

Thanks for replying, but you missed the point entirely. The setting you mention controls only whether contacts are displayed according to first name or last name. The problem I described was a different one, where contacts having no person's name but only a company name are not displayed by company name.
