Corporate vs. Personal Email

Is it possible with the standard Verizon RAZR MAXX email app to control if an email account is set up as a corporate or a personal account?
Is it possible to prevent messages deleted on the RAZR from being deleted in the actual email account, for both types of email accounts?
The connection to my work email, which to an Exchange server, automatically configures as a corporate account. If I delete a message from the account on the RAZR than the message is also deleted from the Exchange server. I wold prefer to be able to delete things from the mobile device but keep them on the Exchange server because, that way, I can monitor and clear the clutter from my mobile device but not lose anything in Exchange/Outlook.
A Hotmail account seems also to automatically configure as a corporate account and behaves the same as work email on an Exchange server, so the same issues and questions apply.
On the other hand, adding a Comcast account seems to automatically configure as a personal account, and this has a setting choice to prevent deletions from the mail server. That setting is not visible for either the work or Hotmail accounts.
Are the gory details of possibilities and settings for different type of email accounts available somewhere?

kccmc,
You do have the ability to set up different email accounts as either personal or corporate, however emails being deleted from the server is going to dependent on the email type.
There are two types of email accounts a POP or an IMAP. If you have a POP account emails are downloaded to the device, and if deleted, they are also deleted on the server. With an IMAP account, mail is retained on the server even if deleted from the device. Unfortunately there is not a way around emails being deleted from the server on POP account.

George,
Thanks for responding, but how can I control whether my email account access is via POP or IMAP? It seems that the device just defaults to something that I cannot control--even if I have both POP and IMAP servers/ports that I could provide for a given account, I do not find a place to input at that level and control it. My Blackberry (VZW BIS) provided all of that control and allowed control of whether or not messages delete on the device were or were not deleted on the server for all types of accounts and access.
