I'm seeing this in the forums, but the solutions provided don't seem to be working. I've had my RAZR (non-root) for about 3 days. This morning after pulling it off the charger (fully charged) I made a phone call but it wouldn't hang up and was very laggy. I attempted a reboot in order to clear the cache but that didn't work. I have a black screen, nothing, nada. I've tried power/volume down, I've got nothing....Please, anyone, thoughts? Is it time for me to say goodbye?
Thanks in advance

Have you tried Power On with the Razr plugged into the charger? What happens when you plug the phone into the charger? I assume that you know how to get into the Recovery Menu?

I have, and nothing. It's plugged into the charger sitting here and nothing is happening. The recovery menu - That's the holding all three buttons down? Yes? That's what I did, when the screen went black, i continued to hold the volume buttons and it's remained black ever since.

And you've tried Power and Volume Down simultaneously for 15-20 seconds? If you try another charger (your's may be bad) and get the same results, my guess is the battery is shot. Or you have a hardware problem. Motoroal will replace the battery for $60+- but you'll be without a phone for 1-2 weeks (repair time plus shipping time). If you do not have insurance, now may be the time to consider a new or good condition used phone.

That's what I was figuring, my guess is on hardware. Maybe its time to retire my friend. Lol. Thanks so much!

Oh no! We don't want you to say goodbye to the phone, but it appears as though you have already attempted many of the steps needed to potentially recover the phone. If it no longer charges and you have the same results with a different charger, it appears as though the Razr may be gone as breezex has suggested. Do you have an extended warranty of any type? Insurance?

I do have insurance but its $99 for another phone. I'm eligible for an upgrade so I may just go that route. Till then I'm stuck in Blackberry Curve land, lol.

Ok, sorry for the username change, but couldn't access with the JPO_TSO username. Update on my razr, i pulled it back out today and plugged it into my computer. I got a bright white light, what does that mean? I read somewhere else that it's a low battery issue. It's plugged into the OEM charger at this point to the wall. The phone was fully charged when the issue happened the other day so I'm not sure of the deal. I need to get this working because my wife just shattered her droid 4 screen and i want to give her my upgrade.

Oh man! I'm sorry your household isn't having good luck over the past few weeks with your phones. When you have it plugged in and you see the white light, can you power it on? What happens?
This indicator does show low battery use.

Ok, I'm back.....The RAZR has had no change, right now it's plugged into the OEM nightstand dock that I have, there is a bright white light in the upper left corner. I read that this is a low battery indicator, I guess I'm wondering if it's charging now or not charging now, I'm going to leave it there for a while and see, when i push the power button the light goes out but nothing happens with the phone.....

JPO_TSO,
Aha! And while that's good news about the LED lighting up, were you ever able to pull up an actual screen? If not, you may wish to exercise the option to upgrade at this point.

Well, no, no screen ever came up, and last night I pulled the trigger on my
upgrade and got the LG G2, love it. I may attempt pulling the razor
battery in the future and replacing it but we'll see. Thanks everyone for
your help.

Ok, so I have the razr plugged into the desk dock on my nightstand. the light is currently on......does this mean it's charging or does it mean its not charging. I've read soooo many different meanings.
