I attempted to configure my hotmail account in new Razr M- the account shows on the phone but inbox is empty and I am unable to send or receive mail. When it syncs or when I attempt to delete account i get the following message : Invalid user endpointid. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there Nycchris!

Using email on your smartphone is definitely important! I'm so sorry that you're having issues with your hotmail! I will be delighted to provide some suggestions to get this up and running.

First you may want to try putting the phone into Safe Mode:

These are the steps for adding a personal account:

These are the steps for removing a personal account:

Let me know if these steps worked!

Thanks,

HELLO??? Why is it that people do not read the post and answer accordingly? As NYCCHRIS stated "when I attempt to delete account i get the following message : Invalid user endpointid." I am getting the same error and after speaking to a Tier 2 tech support guy, even Verizon doesn't know how the heck to fix it. Therefore, with Verizon's Melissa posting the above instructions on how to remove a personal account, it was just A WASTE OF TIME.... IT DOES NOT WORK!!! We keep getting the error message. If it was that simple, do you think we would be posting in a forum???? Geeez!!!

Ok Tom Tap Apps in the Center on the Bottom  --> Then when in Apps Drawer find My Accounts --> You'll come to Accounts and Sync Tap on your AOL account it should come to a Setting --> Account Settings--> Tap it Then you will have to Tap Your Account that you entered you'll come to a Page that says Account Detail From there Scroll all the Way up till you get to) Remove Account and Tap on it.. Remove the Account after doing this i would Soft Reset the Device Just to make sure it's Clear ...  Give that a Try Good Luck.. Let me know the results,,

We've all done that. When you get to the last step and tap on "remove account" it gives the error "invalid user endpointid." Not sure how else to explain we CANNOT delete the account. Doing a soft or hard reset, or restarting in safe mode does not help. As I said, Tier 2 tech support could not figure it out either. What level are you?

Well... you get a "yay" and a "boo" in the same post, LoL. I cleared the

data on the email program, which FINALLY deleted the email account in

question, but at the same time, it ALSO deleted ALL my other (FIVE) email accounts

as well. One of them was a work (corporate) account with more complicated

user and server account settings that I don't remember off hand. Aside from

that, when I try to add back the AOL email account, even though the phone

currently has NO email accounts set up on it now, it gives the error "you

have already added this email account." So.... it's still stored on the

Verizon server??? Do you know a way to automatically get all the email

accounts back on the phone?

Never mind Smiley Happy I used my computer to log in online to Verizon Wireless, saw

my two AOL accounts in there, deleted them both, then back on the phone,

simply entered my AOL usernames and passwords and we're good Smiley Happy Now I just

need to re-configure my other email accounts. A bit of work, but definitely

better than a full factory reset of the phone. Thank you for figuring it out

Smiley Happy You deserve a promotion Smiley Happy

Yestrerday, I just purchased a Droid Razr Maxx HD and am having a problem too with one of my AOL emails. I keep getting one of the two AOL emails to work. I tried deleting it to start over and cannot. I always get a " Invalid user endpointid" pop up. Can you walk me through the directions shown above by Tidbits? I can't find the path of instructions on this model phone. Thanks!!
