Data Plan?

I currently have an original Droid with an unlimited data plan. I am thinking of upgrading to the Razor and I was wondering if my unlimited data plan would transfer over or would I be required to sign up for a new data plan. Thanks for any advice.

With the first set of 4G devices they was allowing users with unlimited data on device they would grandfather them into the unlimited 4G plan but since the policy change has been in effect for a bit now it is unsure, it may be wise to contact CS to verify for sure because they may be still allowing this plan option..

I was grandfathered in from going from Droid X to Droid RAZR

I just got off the phone with Verizon. I had the same question. I was told by their representative that if I currently have the unlimited 3g plan that I was grandfathered in on, that I would still be under an unlimited data plan. She told me they don't differentiate between 3g/4g. It's just one big "Data" category.

So yes, you will still be unlimited. I would still make sure to talk to the sales rep while buying your phone to make sure they don't change something on you.

Thanks for the reply. I actually stopped by a Verizon store and asked one of the reps and he said as long as you move from one smart phone to another your data plan would be grandfathered.
