We got our new Razr Maxx a few days ago and trouble already. After a full nights charge...off the charge for about 4 hours... one phone call later and its dead. Can't fire it up, nada, nothing. The computer doesn't recognize it either. Soooo back to Verizon to trouble shoot/replace(?). Anybody else have this issue?
I finally get my husband on the smartphone band wagon and his brand new phone dies? Frustrating!
Wildman, thank you for your response. Yes, I had learned that with my old droid. My concern now is that it took 3 hours of charge to get the Motorola Icon to come up and then another 2 hours to get it to 40% percent, another 2 to 60%. Finally after 8 hours it was a 100% charged. My understanding with this unit it should have only taken about 4.5 hours from dead to a full charge.
FYI we put both the phones on a full night charge the day we got them. This happened 5 days later. Hopefully just a one time glitch...
I went ahead and waisted my time taking it in to Verizon anyways and she did what SallyC suggested...rebooted it and was told basicly to wait and see if it happens again...
At this point we are at a wait and see. I have total 30 days to replace to new (not refurbished).
Thank you both for you input!!

Try plugging the device into a wall for 30 or 40 minutes until the battery meter shows on the screen, at this point the device should work again... For some reason the battery managers on Android devices dont reserve enough power when a device drains the battery to the point of a shutdown and only a wall charger can bring it back... The USB port on pc doesn't have enough power...

Putting it on the charger is a good idea. Then try holding down the power button and the volume down button for about 10 seconds. This should force a reboot. It may take a couple of tries. If that doesn't do it, then I'd say off to Verizon.
Good luck!
